Veteran Sports Administrator In Nigeria Dr. Adamu Throws Weight Behind Hon. Adebisi ,Oyo Sport Commissioner, Wasilat on  Development of Sports in Oyo State.

Former National Director General of Sports in Nigeria and FIFA instructor, Dr. Amos Adamu, MFR have thrown his weight behind House committee chairman on Youth and Sports Hon Yusuf Adebisi and the sports ministry in redefining sports administration in Oyo State in the area organising sporting activities during his courtesy call in Ibadan over the weekend.

Dr. Adamu extols the virtue of Oyo State Government in their insight of prioritizing youths development. 

He used the visit to formerly congratulate House committee chairman Sports, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi on his reelection into the office and the new commissioner for youth and Sports ,  Miss Wasilat Adegoke.

While giving his experience as a director of Sports in Nigeria, he said sports administration needs dedication and firm decisions at the right time without being compromised and organising sporting activities should be prioritize by any serious ministry and agencies saddle with the responsibility.

"I am here to see my son, Hon Yusuf and also it is a pleasure to meet the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports which I believe I will not hesitate and no stone unturned to support both of them in any sporting activities they wish to organise". He said.

Dr. Adamu also advised the commissioner for Youth and Sports not to be distracted as there are various trivial matters that may discouraged her but she should be focus on matters important to make her ministry the best among the rest.

while responding, Chairman House committee on Youth and Sports, Hon. Yusuf Adebisi appreciate Dr. Adamu for his fatherly advice. 

He appeal to Dr. Adamu to support both the committee on Sports and the ministry of Youth and Sports in the area of organising sports activities and share the experience gotten to be able to achieve in office.

"Daddy we need your support, His Excellency Governor Makinde has giving the ministry and house committee the mandate to prove our worth and reasons why youth are better managers in positions" . He said.

While reacting briefly, Hon. Commissioner Wasilat Adegoke expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the foremost sport administrator, Dr. Amos Adamu, MFR for the honour of paying them a visit in Ibadan, saying she is ready to work and take the ministry from where she met it to an enviable status in terms of achievement and redefining sports administration in Oyo State.

It will be recalled that Dr. Adamu was the brain behind the most successful and first FIFA game in Africa, FIFA World Youth Championship Nigeria '99 , All African Games (COJA) year 2000 and a sole administrator in constructing the world class National Stadium,Abuja.
