In a groundbreaking event, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Candidate for Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, yesterday, marked history by conferring prestigious awards of recognition upon past leaders, showcasing a commitment to honor excellence and dedication.

The distinguished recipients of these awards include luminaries such as Hon. Nureni Aderemi Popoola,Hon. Taofeeq Oladejo Arapaja,Hon. Yaya Akinbile, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige,Hon. Gbadebo Muideen,Hon. Abolaji Nojimideen,Hon. Adeboye Teslim Ajimobi and Hon. Ibraheem Abimbola Omiyale who was conferred with posthumous award, whose legacy continues to inspires all,may his soul rest in perfect peace. Respectively,the distinguished past Council Secretaries; Hon. Sakirudeen Abiola Oduola,Hon. Temitope Yusuf (Supreme),Hon. Taiwo Ige and Hon.Yinka Omikunle       were decorated with awards of recognition for their indelible impact and topnotch contribution to the growth of Ibadan South East Local Government.

Addressing the press, Hon. Alawode emphasized the unprecedented nature of this award ceremony, asserting its significance in recognizing the exceptional leaders and stakeholders who have shaped the political landscape of Oyo State's political headquarter, Ibadan South East Local Government.

Furthermore, in a strategic move towards ensuring an unequivocal victory in the upcoming local government council election slated to hold on April 27th, 2024, Hon. Alawode unveiled his Central Campaign Committee led by Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, former Governor Makinde's aide on culture and tourism, Hon. Saheed Olanrewaju as the Secretary of the Campaign Council and other vibrant and highly experienced members of the committee.
 While inaugurating the  Central Campaign Committee, the Ibadan South East PDP Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Adesina (World Best) admonished all  members of  2024 Central Campaign Committee who were saddled with the responsibility of ensuring victory for all the party's Chairmanship and councillorship candidates  to be proactive and strategic in delivering absolute victory in the forthcoming election. He prayed for more wisdom and strength to achieved the said mandate. 

At this history making event among the great leaders and critical stakeholders in attendance were:  H.E, Amb. Taofeeq Arapaja, DNC- South,ably represented, Alhaji Tiamiyu Abidikugu, Hon.
