In a groundbreaking display of solidarity and generosity, the Executive Chairman and PDP Chairmanship Candidate of Ibadan South East Local Government, Honourable Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode (Yisa), orchestrated an unprecedented Ramadan/Lenten Lecture on March 14, 2024. This momentous occasion brought together over three hundred residents, both Muslim and Christian brethren, in a spirit of harmony and mutual support.
The hallmark of this historic event was the distribution of cash empowerment to residents, aimed at bolstering their businesses and alleviating the economic hardships faced by many Nigerians. This initiative, the first of its kind in the annals of Ibadan South East Local Government, stands as a testament to Honourable Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode's unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents.
Renowned religious leaders, Sheikh (Dr) Muhydeen Kolawole Nojimudeen (AlKubrah) Amir-Wazir of Oyo State, and Reverend P.F. Owa (Founder of Christ Revival Miracle Church), delivered powerful messages of faith, unity, and social responsibility. Sheikh Muhydeen Kolawole Nojimudeen emphasized the importance of fasting and urged leaders at all levels to demonstrate exemplary conduct, leaving a positive legacy in the hearts of the masses. 
Reverend P.F. Owa, represented by Rev. Mrs. PF Owa, highlighted the significance of fasting as a means of seeking God's guidance and favor, while also calling for national unity and fervent prayer to heal Nigeria's economy.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries including the Vice Chairman, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji, Party Chairman in Ibadan South East LG, Engr. Sulaimon Adesina, Hon. Kunmi Adesina, Baba Abidikugu, Hon. Sunday Babatunde, the Secretary of the LG, the Campaign DG, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige, and all members of the Central Campaign Council of Alawode/Ogundeji re-election bid.
