RAMADAN: AS ISLAM CALLS FOR UNITY AND PEACE, LET'S STAND TOGETHER IN SOLIDARITY AS ONE HUMANITY -
ALAWODE PREACHES.
As Muslims get ready to observe the holy month of Ramadan, the Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode conveys his warmest wishes to Muslims around the world for a blessed and peaceful month.
In his message, Hon. Alawode stated that as Islam calls for unity and peace, we should all stand together in solidarity as “One Humanity” especially in these trying times and strive to build a peaceful world.
He added that Ramadan teaches us to practice self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for those who are less fortunate, thus encouraging actions of generosity.
The Arole Omituntun stressed further that this holy month of Ramadan reminds us of the noble values inherent in Islam such as compassion, mutual respect and humility.
"Ramadan embodies the values of peace, resilience, and generosity. It is a period of reflection and prayer, an opportunity to come together and uplift each other. So, we should take inspiration from this spirit and remember with kindness the vulnerable, the poor and those bereaved". He reiterates.
The council boss then prayed that the Holy Month bring peace and guide us all towards a more just and compassionate world.
