Oyo PDP Congratulates Newly Sworn-in Local Government Chairmen, Commends Makinde’s Commitments to Grassroots Development

Ibadan, Oyo State - 24/05/2024 

The leadership of the Oyo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warmly congratulated the 33 newly sworn-in local government chairmen and their deputies in the State. 

In a statement signed by the State Acting Publicity Secretary of the Party, Mr Ogunsina Michael, the party praised the democratic process that led to their emergence and commended the Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his commitment to grassroots development.

"We are thrilled to see our party members take the reins of leadership at the local level, and we have no doubt that they will work tirelessly to deliver the dividends of democracy to the good people of Oyo State," the statement read.

The party urged the new chairmen to prioritize the welfare of their constituents, promote unity and inclusivity, and work in harmony with other stakeholders to drive progress and development in their respective domains.
"We are confident that our party's vision for a prosperous and equitable Oyo State will be further actualized through the dedication and leadership of our newly sworn-in chairmen," the statement concluded.
