Adeniran Lauds Makinde's Education Drive, Cites Progress in Oyo Basic Schools
Governor Seyi Makinde's educational policies have significantly improved basic education in Oyo State, according to Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (Oyo SUBEB).
In an interview with Splash FM Spot Light by Tunde Olawuwo, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran highlighted the state's increased enrollment in public primary schools, attributing this success to Makinde's administration. "The first impact was increased enrollment. In schools where enrollment had been between 50 and 70 pupils, numbers rose to around 100 after the program began," Adeniran said.
The Oyo State government has implemented several initiatives to boost education, including a significant increase in budget allocation, a partnership with EIDU to enhance learning outcomes, comprehensive teacher training programs, and infrastructure development across schools. Dr. Nureni Adeniran, Executive Chairman of Oyo SUBEB, praised Governor Seyi Makinde's commitment to education, noting that these efforts have led to improved learning outcomes and created a more conducive environment for students in Oyo State's public primary schools.
This progress is a significant step towards achieving quality education for all in Oyo State. However, Adeniran also emphasized the need for continued support and investment to sustain the momentum and address remaining challenges.
Dr. Nureni Adeniran, who is also a gubernatorial aspirant, is positioning himself as a potential successor to Governor Seyi Makinde, with many in Oyo State seeing him as a reliable choice to lead the state forward as Omituntun 3.0. His current role as Executive Chairman of Oyo SUBEB has given him a platform to showcase his leadership skills, particularly in the education sector.
