The People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship hopeful Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo on Thursday unveiled key planks of his 2027 programme, promising broad reforms in education, representation, and economic management.
Addressing media practitioners at Omituntun House, Ibadan, the entrepreneur-turned-politician said his ambition is anchored on lifting Oyo beyond its present achievements. “Our people deserve greater dividends, and I have the preparation to deliver them,” he stated.
Ajadi praised Governor Seyi Makinde’s performance, noting that ongoing projects provide “a solid base for the next phase of transformation.” He cited his background leading enterprises with a workforce exceeding 1,000 as evidence of his administrative capacity.
*Core commitments announced include:*
1. *Revamped Schooling Model*: Integrate practical trade acquisition with academics to foster self-sufficient graduates.
2. *Gender & Youth Inclusion*: Guarantee women a minimum of 40 percent representation in the state executive council, complemented by targeted programmes for young people.
3. *Growth & Governance*: Prioritise employment generation, institutional strengthening, and efficient public service.
Ajadi described competence, proven track record, and clear direction as non-negotiable requirements for Oyo’s future, urging party leaders and voters to back a people-centred agenda.
The briefing, attended by journalists, well meaning influencers, Kolawole Adedeji and Dada Awoleye as the media parley ended with a call for collective effort toward a more prosperous state.
