Today, the city of Ibadan is filled with celebrations as family members, friends, political associates and well-wishers mark the birthday of respected community leader, Alhaji Wasiu Adewunmi Adeleke.

The day has been marked by goodwill messages, prayers and tributes across the local government, with many describing Alhaji Adeleke as a man whose life has been devoted to service, unity and the progress of the people.

In his felicitation message, Alhaji Hassan Abolaji Bello, Chairmanship Aspirant for Ibadan Southwest Local Government, joined millions of admirers to celebrate the celebrant. He described Alhaji Adeleke as a leader of vision, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the people.

"Happy Birthday to ALHAJI WASIU ADEWUNMI ADELEKE. Celebrating a leader of vision, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the people. Your dedication to service continues to inspire hope and progress in Ibadan Southwest and beyond," Bello stated.

He noted that over the years, Alhaji Adeleke has remained consistent in supporting the grassroots, empowering youths, assisting market women, and contributing to community development initiatives that have brought relief to many households in the area.

According to Bello, the celebrant’s open-door approach and willingness to listen have made him a rallying point for peace and unity in Ibadan Southwest. He added that Alhaji Adeleke’s leadership style reflects the values of humility, accessibility and service that the people deserve.

"Your impact is not just in words but in actions. You have shown that leadership is about giving, about standing with the people in good and challenging times, and about building a better tomorrow for the next generation," he said.

Alhaji Bello also offered prayers for the celebrant as he marks another year. He prayed for divine protection, sound health, wisdom and more strength to continue his service to humanity.

Across Oyo State  today, party stakeholders, religious leaders, youth groups and community members have also taken to social media and community gatherings to celebrate Alhaji Adeleke. Many described him as a mentor, a bridge-builder and a symbol of grassroots politics done right.
